Sorting grab for excavators 6–11 t
A sorting grab turns a midi excavator into a machine for sorting, loading and light demolition. The Promove SG 6.11 is designed for carriers of 6–11 t. It opens to 1,500 mm, holds 200 l and rotates hydraulically. According to Promove the shells are made of Hardox, and a load holding valve stops the load from dropping.
Unlike a breaker, the grab needs two hydraulic circuits: one for opening and closing (30–40 l/min, max. 300 bar) and one for rotation (10–15 l/min, max. 150 bar). The rotation circuit in particular is small. Almost every excavator in this class delivers more oil and more pressure there than the grab can take, which is why the fit check before payment matters so much for a grab.

Freight is quoted per order: delivery DAP to your business address, with freight always shown as a separate line in your written quote, so the total (products + freight) is always clear. Prices ex VAT.

- Included: rotating sorting grab with bolted top plate and hydraulic hoses. Quick coupler, adapter plate and adapters are not included.
- CE marked – manufacturer's EU Declaration of Conformity supplied with the machine on delivery
- 12-month warranty from the date of delivery, in line with the manufacturer's warranty terms. Claims are handled through Thunderline. Wear parts (chisels, points, hoses) and damage from misuse, incorrect installation or operation outside the manufacturer's limits are not covered. Full terms on request.
- Delivery DAP to your address in the EU. Delivery to your business address; unloading by the customer (forklift). A tail lift is not included by default – available on request at an extra charge, quoted per order. Availability is confirmed within 1–2 business days. Delivery typically takes 4–10 working days after order confirmation and payment, depending on availability and destination; the exact delivery window is confirmed per order.

Frequently asked questions
My excavator has only one auxiliary circuit. Will it work?
The SG 6.11 with rotation needs two circuits. With only one, the grab cannot be operated as intended. Your workshop can retrofit a second circuit.
How much weight does it add to the arm?
The basic body weighs 490 kg. The adapter plate and quick coupler come on top. On excavators at the lower end of the class (around 6 t) we check lifting capacity with particular care.
What is the SG 6.11 not suited for?
It is not built for heavy demolition or crushing. Promove names sorting, loading and light demolition work.
Is a quick coupler included?
No. You receive the grab and hoses. Quick coupler, adapter plate and adapters are not included. For the SG 6.11, any quick coupler or mount is to be confirmed with the manufacturer before we quote.
